This paricular project is probably only in phase one, as I learn more about the system I will make some changes to make the graphics more intuitive when considering the rules. When I initially designed these I was working based upon the theory that the relative places on the bmp files meant a relatively similar effect within the game system. I found out after I had finished that this was not necessarily the case, so I will make a change or two.
I was also working based upon the graphic files in 'The First Blitzkrieg', however I noticed later that 'War on the Southern Front' added in graphics as well as some terrain effects for something called 'high mountain', although I can't see where any of these are located on the current map, so for the moment I just left it all alone.
In the original game graphics, these are slightly different based upon the weather zone that a given hex is located in. I decided that the weather effects are largely equal in terms of effects within a given nationality grouping, so therefore these could be used as the defacto weather zone boundary when the weather in play was different from one zone to the next, and that when it was the same from one zone to the next, it was all pretty much a moot point.
